F&O Update: Nifty Sep futures on par with spot

The Nifty August futures is trading at a marginal premium of six points at 4,307. The Nifty August futures has seen trades of nearly 1.50 lakh contracts and the open interest has declined by 25.37 lakh shares to 2.75 crore shares.

The Nifty September futures is trading almost on par with the spot Nifty at 4,301. The counter has seen trades of around 74,100 contracts and the open interest has risen by 65.78 lakh shares to 1.26 lakh shares.

The NSE spot Nifty is down 34 points at 4,301.

CALL ACTION

The Nifty 4,300 and 4,400 calls are the most active counters with trades of around 27,730 and 23,100, contracts, respectively so far. The 4,300 call open interest is down by 74,100 shares to 21.22 lakh shares, and the 4,400 call open interest is up by 15,700 shares to 30.22 lakh shares.

The 4,500 call has seen trades of over 6,300 contracts and the open interest has declined by 2.20 lakh shares to 36.33 lakh shares.

The Nifty September 4,500 and 4,400 calls are the other most active counters with trades of around 3,150 and 2,830, contracts, respectively so far. The 4,500 call open interest has increased by 66,800 shares to 8.37 lakh shares, and the 4,400 call open interest is up by 2.13 lakh shares to 8.67 lakh shares.

PUT ACTION

The Nifty 4,300 put is the most active counter with trades of around 33,500 contracts and the open interest has declined by 1.03 lakh shares to 29.43 lakh shares.

The 4,400 and 4,200 puts have seen traded of around 11,460 and 12,330, contracts, respectively so far. The 4,400 put open interest has increased by 29,350 shares to 26.50 lakh shares, and the 4,200 put open interest has declined by 7.77 lakh shares to 24.80 lakh shares.

The Nifty September put is also in action. The 4,300 put open interest has gone up by 4.72 lakh shares to 14.24 lakh shares.
