FMCG stocks on a roll, index hits new high

ITC, HUL,Nestle India,Dabur India, Colgate Palmolive (India), and Britannia Ind are up 2-6% on BSE.

Shares of fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies are on a roll on the bourses with most of the frontline companies are trading at their record high.

ITC, Hindustan Unilever (HUL) and Nestle India are trading at their lifetime highs, up 2-7%, while Dabur India, Colgate Palmolive (India), and Britannia Industries are too up 4-6% on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The BSE FMCG index, the largest gainer among the sectoral indices, is up nearly 3% as compared to 0.38% rise in benchmark Sensex at 1345 hours. The index hits lifetime high of 7,360 in intra-day trades today.
