Franklin Templeton makes key managerial changes

India's Vivek Kudva and Harshendu Bindal given higher international responsibilities

Franklin Templeton Investments has made key managerial changes in its international operations. It is part of the asset manager's strategic review of its international businesses wherein it has combined its Europe and central & eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa and India into one distinct region.

Vivek Kudva, the current managing director for Franklin's central & eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa and India; has been promoted as managing director of Franklin's newly formed region.

Further, the current president of Franklin Templeton's India business Harshendu Bindal has been given a new role as managing director, channel head - retail for Franklin's International business. While Kudva will be based in Mumbai, Bindal is relocating to firm's global headquarters in San Mateo, California in the US.

Back in India, Sanjay Sapre will take over the President role for India business. Prior to this, Sapre was senior vice president - global transfer agency customer operations and customer service Asia Pacific.
