Gold prices recovered smartly at the bullion market here in Mumbai on Wednesday on renewed investors’ demand and good local off take at lower levels.
Silver also surged on heavy speculative buying amidst fresh industrial demand. Standard gold of 99.5 per cent purity rose by Rs 125 to close at Rs 28,870 per 10g from Tuesday's close of Rs 28,745. Pure gold of 99.9 per cent purity also spurted by Rs 120 to end at Rs 28,990 per 10g from Rs 28,870 previously.
