Gram, its dal up on retailers demand

In limited deals, gram and its dal prices declined up to Rs 50 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on increased demand from retailers amid restricted arrivals.

Elsewhere, other commodities moved in a narrow range on little doing and settled around previous levels.

Marketmen said pick up in retailers demand against tight arrivals from the producing regions, and led to a rise in wholesale gram and its dal prices. 

Gram and its dal chilka local rose by Rs 25 and Rs 50 to Rs 2,325-2,350 and Rs 2,600-2,625, while best quality gained Rs 25 to Rs 2,700-2,800 per quintal.

Masoor small 3,200-3,400, bold 3,400-3,650, Dal Masoor local 3,800-3,900, best quality 4,100-4,400, Malka local 3,900-3,950, best 4,050-4,150, Moth 4,600-4,900, Arhar 3,800- 3,900, dal arhar dara 4,800-5,200

Gram 2,325-2,350, gram dal (local) 2,600-2,625, best quality 2,700-2,800, besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,050, Rajdhani 1,050, Rajmah chitra Pune 3,700-4,300
