GSK Consumer tanks after surging 26% in one week

The stock has surged 15% in two trading sessions after MSCI included the company in its index.

GlaxoSmithkline Consumer Healthcare has tanked 7% to Rs 4,729 on profit taking after surging 26% in past one week on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The stock is top loser among the frontline A group stocks. The benchmark was up 74 points or 0.36% at 1218 hours.

Share of GSK Consumer Healthcare, a leader in the worldwide consumer healthcare market, had rallied 26% in past one week compared to 0.78% rise in benchmark Sensex.  

The stock had surged 15% in two trading sessions after MSCI included the company in its index.

The stock opened at Rs 5,055 and hit a low of Rs 4,712 on BSE. A combined 34,386 shares already changed hands on the counter till noon deals on BSE and NSE.
