Guarseed futures recover on short covering

Guarseed prices recovered by Rs 18, or 0.79 per cent, to Rs 2,306 per quintal in future trade today following short covering by traders.

Marketmen said short covering by traders after yesterday's selloff by speculators, mainly kept guarseed futures prices in green zone.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, gaurseed price for August contract regained by Rs 18, or 0.79 per cent, to Rs 2,306 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,49,170 lots.
   
The September month contract also followed suit and gained by similar margins of Rs 18, or 0.78 per cent, to Rs 2,324 per quintal, depicting an open interest of 100,470 lots.
