IVRCL Infra surges 9% despite dip in net profit

The stock touched a day's high of Rs 334, up 11% from its previous close. It finally closed with the gains of 9% at Rs 329. Around 1.3 million shares were traded on the BSE as against the two-week daily average traded volume of 9,80,734 shares.

IVRCL Infrastructure & Projects has surged 6% after announcing Q4 results.

The stock opened with a gap of Rs 7 at Rs 307 and slipped to a low of Rs 305. It surged 7% to a high of Rs 322. The stock is currently trading 6.5% higher at Rs 321 and has zoomed 102% in the past one month. The counter has clocked a volume of 9,39,229 stocks so far on the BSE.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE, net profit decreased 13% to 247.34 crore in the year ended March 2009 from Rs 283.43 crore in FY08.

Total income, however, increased 29% to Rs 4,991.12 crore from Rs 3,867.41 crore.
