Jaiprakash, IDFC bouyant on Nifty-50 inclusion

Jaipraksh Associates soared to a high of Rs 233 and finally ended at Rs 231, up 6% from the previous close. The counter clocked volumes of 3.36 million shares as compared to the two-week daily average traded volumes of 2.62 million shares.

Infrastructure Development Finance soared to a high of Rs 147 and finally settled at Rs 146, up 9% from the previous close.

The counter clocked volumes of 8.57 million shares as compared to the two-week daily average traded volumes of 1.97 million shares on the BSE.

Tata Communications and Nalco ended flat today.

Jaiprakash Associates and Infrastructure Development Finance have soared today morning on news that they will be included in the Nifty-50 stocks on 20th October 2009. These two companies are on their way to replace Nalco and Tata Communications.

Jaiprakash Associates opened at Rs 220. The scrip is now trading at day's high of Rs 225. Around 676,801 shares have been traded on the BSE so far.

Infrastructure Development Finance opened at Rs 136 and zoomed to a high of Rs 144. The stock is now trading at Rs 143, up 6% from the previous close. The counter has clocked volumes of 3.35 million shares as compared to the two-week daily average traded volumes of 1.97 million shares.

Meanwhile the outgoing stocks, Nalco and Tata Communications are trading on a flat note.
