Jeera prices rise by 0.5%
Analysts attributed the rise in jeera futures to increased buying by speculators on pick up in overseas demand
Press Trust of India New Delhi Jeera prices rose by Rs 77.50 to Rs 13620 per quintal in futures trading today as speculators enlarged their positions, driven by a rise in overseas demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, jeera for delivery in July rose by Rs 77.50, or 0.57%, to Rs 13,620 per quintal, with an open interest of 963 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in August contract traded higher by Rs 30, or 0.22%, to Rs 13,842.50 per quintal in 17,283 lots.
