Kansai Nerolac gains as board to consider stock split

Shares of Kansai Nerolac Paints were up 7% at Rs 2,264 after the company said its board will meet on January 30, 2014 to consider stock split of shares.

The board will also consider the unaudited financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2014, the company said in a release.

The total paid-up equity capital of the company is Rs 53.89 crore comprising of 538.92 lakh shares of face value Rs 10/- each. Promoters held 69.27% stake in the company as of September 2014, shareholding data on the BSE showed.

The stock opened at Rs 2,225 and touched a high of Rs 2,277. At 9:25AM, nearly 5,800 shares were traded on both the stock exchanges.
