Lanco surges on winning new orders worth Rs 3,294 crore

Shares of Lanco Infratech were up over 7% at Rs 9.41 after the company late Monday announced that its has bagged new orders worth Rs 3,294 crore.

Lanco Infratech has bagged orders worth Rs 3,293.96 crore from Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited for civil works as well off-shore and on-shore supplies among others, the company said in a release.

"The company's EPC ((Engineering, Procurement and Construction) Division has been awarded the prestigious EPC contracts by Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited for their 2 x 300 MW Lignite based Thermal Power Project," the release said.

Over 1.4 million shares were traded on both the stock exchanges so far.
