Lead futures prices today rose 0.41 per cent to Rs 134.05 per kg, on strong demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in March traded 55 paise, or 0.41 per cent higher at Rs 134.05 per kg, with a turnover of three lots.

The February contract added 50 paise, or 0.38 per cent to Rs 132.95 per kg in a turnover of 304 lots.

Marketmen said strong domestic demand, particularly from battery-makers and a firming trend in base metals overseas, mainly influenced lead prices at futures trade here.
