Women continue to top the charts at the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). Of the top 10 agents who brought in over Rs 1 crore worth of premium income for the organisation, six are female and they have mopped up over 60 per cent of premium income.
Ritu Nanda topped the scene yet again this fiscal, mopping up the highest first premium income among agents at Rs 4.37 crore as on February 28. Among the top 78 agents who have brought in over Rs 50 lakh premium income each, 31 are women.
Sales for the first fortnight in March have shot up by over 86 per cent. This is partly attributed to the way agents are marketing policies to prospective policyholders.
