The stock surged to a high of Rs 874 and finally settled at Rs 864, up 6% from the previous close. The counter witnessed trades of 434,391 shares on the BSE as compared to the two-week daily average traded volumes of 230,494 shares.

Mahindra & Mahindra has added 2% today morning after its decision to enter the US market in the first quarter of 2010.
The stock opened at Rs 820, touched a low of Rs 817 and then zoomed to a high of Rs 834. The scrip is now trading at Rs 829, up 2% from the previous close. Around 24,175 shares have been traded at the BSE so far.
Auto maker Mahindra & Mahindra plans to come up with two new varints of SUV Scorpio in the US markets and also with two vehicles in the Indian markets over the next six months. The company had earlier announced that it had made investments worth Rs 300 crore on product development for its US operations.
