In an otherwise steady wholesale pulses market today, malka prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal on pick up in retailers demand.

Traders said pick up in retailers demand mainly led to a rise in wholesale malka prices.

They said, however, activity in other pulses remained extremely restricted in the absence of worthwhile activity at prevailing levels.

Malka local and best quality gained Rs 100 each to Rs 4,150-4,200 and Rs 4,300-4,400 per quintal respectively.
