Market at day's low

The markets have moved down and has touched the day's low of 19,990 while the Nifty has slipped 26 points and is at 6003. In the broader markets, the midcap index has moved into the negative. The smallcap index hold its gains and is up 0.2%. The benchmark index has moved down furthur and is down 0.4% and continues to underperform.

On the BSE sectoral charts, Auto index up 0.2% continues to lead followed by Health Care, Power and Realty. All the other indices have moved into the negative. The biggest loser on the sectoral chart is the Metal and FMCG down 1% each. The draggers in the Metal space are Sterlite down 7%, Hindustan Zinc losing 3%, Sesa Goa,NMDC and Wel Corp shedding 1% each.

The gainers on the Sensex are Tata Motors up 2%, Hero Honda, Tata Power,Tata Steel adding 0.6% - 0.9% and SBI, RIL and Jaiprakash Associates gaining 0.5%

The losers on the Sensex are Sterlite down 8%, ITC and Maruti Suzuki losing 2%,Reliance Infrastructure, ONGC, HDFC, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank and ACC shedding 1% each.

The market breadth is negative. 1595 stocks have declined while 1348 stocks have advanced.
