Arrivals of new jeera crop increased to more than 30,000 bags & the same were traded auctions held at Unjha market. Strong demand was reported for new crop, among stockist & export buyers while spot rates were quoted around '125-'127 per kg. Spot rates of pepper garbled increased '362 per kg and that of un-garbled was up at '347 per kg. Arrivals increased to 26 tons & the same were traded at auctions held at Kochi market, as per IPSTA. Spot markets for turmeric were closed on Monday, due to Amavyasa.
Average price of small cardamom increased to '647.5 per kg while maximum price offered was down at '868 per kg, as per spice board. Total inflow of small cardamom crop declined to 10.1 tons from which ~9.4 tons were sold at STCL auction held at Kumily.
Arrivals of Soya bean crop has increased to 2lakh bags at MP market & about 5,000 bags at mandis of Indore while supply across mandis of Maharashtra & Rajasthan has fallen sharply due to lower rates offered, as per local traders.
Spot rates of soya bean crop offered by planters were unchanged at '36-'36.5 per kg while rates across mandis of Indore were steady at '35-'35.5 per kg, as per local traders.
Malaysia's crude palm oil output in the month of Feb. declined by 19% to 1.3mn tons while the end-Feb. palm oil stocks declined by 5.2% to 2.44mn tons, as per report from Malaysian Palm Oil Board.
Guar seed arrivals increased to 30,546 quintals, while the average of the closing spot rates were down at '9,513.5 per quintal.
Inflow of mustard seed crop increased to 105,987 quintals, while average of closing spot rates were up at '3,130.8 per quintal, as per agriculture marketing board of Rajasthan.
