Markets await Satyam, TCS results

The sentiment received a boost last week on robust 2008-09 earnings projections by bellwether Infosys Technologies and some mid-cap players.

On Monday, Satyam Computer Services will detail its January-March earnings before market hours, while Tata Consultancy Services will announce its earnings after market hours.

The CNX IT Index rose 12 per cent, while the Nifty gained 4 per cent last week. The IT shares rose after Infosys Technologies said its earnings a share would rise 16-18 per cent in 2008-09 (April-March) against the expected 14-16 per cent.
