Markets back in green; auto, banks lead

The Sensex is now up 77 points at 14,665.

The NSE Nifty is up 25 points at 4,420.

Mahindra & Mahindra has surged 4.3% to Rs 542. Maruti and Tata Motors have advanced around 2% each to Rs 585 and Rs 404, respectively.

HDFC Bank has rallied over 4% to Rs 1,155. ICICI Bank has gained 3% at Rs 660, and SBI has added 2.5% to Rs 1,548.

ACC has soared over 4% to Rs 610. Grasim and Reliance Infrastructure have moved up over 2% each to Rs 1,935 and Rs 1,023, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever has gained 2% at Rs 239. BHEL has added 1.7% to Rs 1,744.

ITC, NTPC and HDFC are up over 1% each to Rs 190, Rs 177 and Rs 2,398, respectively.

Sterlite has tumbled over 7% to Rs 579. Tata Steel has shed 3.7% at Rs 666.

Tata Power has dropped 2.8% to Rs 1,088. Ranbaxy has slipped 1.6% to Rs 516, and Hindalco is down 1% at Rs 141.

Out of 2,611 stocks traded so far, 1,570 have advanced, 965 have declined and 76 are unchanged.
