After touching a high of 20,121, the Sensex continues to hover around the same level while the Nifty has added 30 points and is trading at 6,042. However the broader markets are underperforming. The midcap index is in the negative, down 0.07% while the smallcap index is up 0.1%. The benchmark index has gained 0.4%.
Among the sectoral indices, Teck continues to lead the pach gaining 0.8% followed by IT, FMCG and Auto. Howerever, Realty and Metal continue to languish at the bottom of the chart down 0.9% and 0.7% respectively.
Bharti Airtel up 3% continue to head the Sensex gainers list follwed by Hero Honda, HDFC up 2%. HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever, ONGC and ITC gaining 1% each are the top gainers.
