Markets continue to trade weak

The Sensex has continued to trade weak and is now down 114 points at 16,382. The Nifty is down 36 points at 4,896.

The markets recovered from the day's low but has now started slipping again. The Sensex is down 102 points at 16,394.

The Nifty is down 38 points at 4,894.

The BSE realty, IT, metal and auto indices have dipped in red and have declined around 1% each.

Hindalco has shed 2% at Rs 153. HDFC and Jaiprakash Associates have slipped 1.7% and 1.8%, respectively.

Wipro has dropped 1.6% to Rs 660. Infosys and TCS are down over 1% each at Rs 2,442 and Rs 745, respectively.

Tata Motors has declined 1.5% to Rs 710. Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra and Sterlite have dropped 1.5% each.

The market breadth was positive. Out of 2,659 stocks traded, 1,383 have advanced while 1,180 have declined.
