The Sensex continues to hold most of its gains till late morning trades. The Sensex is now up 274 points at 15,442.
The NSE Nifty is up 68 points at 4,598.
Jaiprakash Associates has soared nearly 7% to Rs 196. Reliance Infrastructure has surged 3.7% to Rs 1,070.
SBI has rallied 3.3% to Rs 1,572. ICICI Bank, Reliance and Maruti have gained around 3% each at Rs 752, Rs 2,318 and Rs 699, respectively.
Reliance Communications, DLF and HDFC Bank have moved up 2.7% each to Rs 450, Rs 563 and Rs 1,314, respectively.
ONGC and Tata Power have gained around 2.5% each at Rs 1,090 and Rs 1,084, respectively.
Tata Motors and BHEL have advanced over 2% each to Rs 453 and Rs 1,820, respectively. Larsen & Toubro has added 1.5% to Rs 2,878.
Infosys, HDFC, Tata Steel, Mahindra & Mahindra, ACC and Hindalco are up around 1% each.
TCS has dropped 1.7% to Rs 828. Sterlite has slipped over 1% to Rs 632.
