The markets are now off its day's low. The Sensex is now at 16,126, down 200 points and the NSE Nifty is at 4,823, down 65 points.
DLF and Jaiprakash Associates have declined 4.5% each to Rs 230 and Rs 129, respectively.
Sterlite Industries, Reliance Communications are down 3.5% each at Rs 741 and Rs 161, respectively.
Tata Steel, Hindalco, Tata Motors, NTPC, ICICI Bank, Reliance Infrastructure, SBI and Hero Honda have decreased 2-3% each.
ONGC and Maruti are on the other hand up 0.5% each at Rs 1,104 and Rs 1,366, respectively.
The market breadth is negative. Out of 2,779 shares traded, 2,058 have declined and 648 have advanced so far on the BSE.
Among the sectoral indices, realty index has shed 4% to 3,170. It is followed by metal and power indices, down 2-3% each.
