The Sensex continues its range bound movement within a mere 30 points.The Sensex is up 189 points at 19,607 and the Nifty has added 63 points at 5,892.In the broader markets, the smallcap index and the midcap index are up 1% each in sync with the benchmark index.
Among the BSE sectoral indices, Consumer Durables leads the chart followed by Metal, Ouil & Gas, Teck and IT. The least gainers are the PSU,Power and Capital Goods. The movers in the Consumer Durables space are Blue Star,Gitanjali Gems,Bajaj Electricals up 1% each.
The gainers on the Sensex are ACC, Reliance Communications up nearly 3% each, TCS, Tata Steel,Hindalco,Sterlite gaining nearly 2% follows.
HDFC down nearly 1%, Maruti Suzuki, State Bank of India and BHEL shedding 0.2% each round up the Sensex losers list.
The market breadth is positive. Of the total 3021 stocks traded, 1946 stocks have advanced while 976 have declined.
