The NSE Nifty is down 31 points at 4,105.
Tata Motors, HDFC and Grasim have slumped around 4.5% each to Rs 428, Rs 1,960 and Rs 1,860, respectively.
ICICI Bank has plunged over 4% to Rs 626. ACC has shed 3.8% at Rs 557.
Reliance Communications, DLF and Maruti have slipped around 3% each to Rs 458, Rs 411 and Rs 626, respectively.

Reliance Infrastruture and Ambuja Cements are also down almost 3% each at Rs 862 and Rs 79, respectively.
BHEL has surged 2.7% to Rs 1,417. Satyam has rallied 2.3% to Rs 450.
Ranbaxy has moved up nearly 2% to Rs 533, and ONGC has added 1.6% to Rs 844.
Hindalco and Infosys have advanced 1.5% each to Rs 141 and Rs 1,733, respectively.
TCS and Jaiprakash Associates are up over 1% each at Rs 876 and Rs 144, respectively.
