Masoor, its dal decline on sluggish demand

Masoor and its dal prices declined by Rs 50 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on sluggish demand against adequate stocks position. 

Elsewhere, other commodity prices continued to trade in a narrow range on alternate bouts of trading and settled around previous levels.

Market analysts said lack of demand at prevailing higher levels against sufficient stocks position mainly put pressure on masoor and its dal prices. 

In the National Capital, masoor small and bold declined by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,700-2,900 and Rs 2,850-3,100, respectively. Its dal local and best quality traded lower by the same margin to Rs 3,200-3,300 and Rs 3,500-3,800 per quintal, respectively.
