 "Mentha oil gains by 0.9% on rising demand")
Mentha oil prices gained 0.90% to Rs 875.50 per kg in futures trading today as speculators enlarged their positions, tracking a firm trend at spot market on rising demand from consuming industries.
Tight supplies in the physical market following less arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh further fulled the uptrend in mentha oil.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in September gained Rs 7.80, or 0.90% to Rs 875.50 per kg in business turnover of 114 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in August edged higher by Rs 6.10, or 0.69% to Rs 858 per kg in 121 lots.
Market analysts said apart from a firming trend at the spot markets on rising demand from consuming industries, tight supplies on less arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh mainly led an upward movements in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
