Mentha oil sheds almost 2% on profit-booking

Trading sentiments weakens further due to adequate stocks position following increased arrivals from Chandousi, UP

Mentha oil prices fell by Rs 15.20 to Rs 827.10 per kg in futures trade today as speculators indulged in profit-booking amid subdued spot demand.

Trading sentiments weakened further due to adequate stocks position following increased arrivals from Chandousi in Uttar Pradesh, analysts said.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in June fell by Rs 15.20, or 1.80 per cent, to Rs 827.10 per kg, with a business volume of 219 lots.

The May contract delivery shed Rs 15, or 1.80 per cent, to Rs 815 per kg, with a business turnover of 217 lots.
