Menthol remains weak on reduced industrial offtake

Menthol prices slipped further by Rs 5 per kg on the local chemical market today on reduced industrial offtake.

Elsewhere, other prices moved in a narrow range and settled around previous levels.  

Traders said reduced industrial offtake against adequate stocks mainly kept pressure on the menthol prices.

Menthol bold crystal, flake and oil prices remained weak and shed another Rs 5 each to Rs 1,355, Rs 1,315 and Rs 1,265 per kg, respectively.
