Menthol strengthens on increased demand

Menthol prices strengthened by Rs 5 per kg in local chemical market today on increased demand from pharmaceutical units and other consuming industries against limited arrivals.   

Traders said apart from increased demand from pharma and other consuming industries, limited arrivals from producing belts also helped menthol prices to strengthen.

In the national capital, menthol bold crystal, menthol flake and mentha oil prices remained in demand and advanced by Rs 5 each to Rs 1,395, Rs 1,325 and Rs 1,225 per kg, respectively.
