Moong, arhar decline on sluggish demand

Moong and arhar prices moved down by Rs 100 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today, owing to slackness in demand against adequate stocks.

Traders said slackness in demand at prevailing levels against sufficient stocks mainly led to decline in moong and arhar prices. 

In the national capital, moong and its dal chilka local declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,400-5,400 and Rs 5,300-5,700, while moong dal dhoya local and best quality traded lower by the same margin to Rs 5,600-5,800 and Rs 6,200-6,400 per quintal.

Arhar and its dal dara variety also traded lower by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,450-3,950 and Rs 5,000-5400 per quintal.
