Mustard seed prices soared by Rs 7.80 to Rs 574 per 20 kg in future trading today, on frantic buying by traders in line with firm spot markets sentiment.
Analysts said low arrivals from producing regions followed by strong demand from oil mills and vanaspati ghee making industries, pushed up mustard seed future prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivaties Exchange, mustard seed prices for far November month contract shot up further by Rs 7,80, or 1.38 per cent to Rs 574 per 20 kg, with an open interest of 360 lots.
