National Aluminium Company (Nalco) has slipped 5% on the BSE following a 81% dip in Q4 net profit.
The stock opened 3% lower at Rs 345. It recovered partially to touch a high of Rs 350 but slipped further to a low of Rs 339, down 5%. The counter has clocked a volume of 30,255 shares on the BSE so far.
The company has informed the BSE that net profit decreased 81.5% to Rs 83.02 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2009 from Rs 446.66 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
Total income, however, increased a per cent to Rs 5,630.91 crore from Rs 5,575.65 crore.
