NDTV gains despite poor Q1 nos

The stock finally ended at Rs 136, up 4% from the previous close. Around 39,680 shares were traded on the BSE today.

NDTV up 3% despite posting a loss of Rs 83.4 crore. The loss however is less compared to (potential loss) Rs 115.9 crore had it not been for the stake sell.

The stock today opened at Rs 139 and touched a low of Rs 132.50. The scrip is now trading at Rs 135, up 3% from the previous close. The stock has advanced 12% in a week and the counter has clocked volumes of 14,196 shares on the BSE.

The company has posted a net loss of Rs 83.4 crore for the June quarter as compared to a net profit of Rs 526.6 crore, in the previous quarter, a year ago. Last year's net profit was due to the selling of stake in a subsidiary from which income of Rs 642.5 crore was collected.
