Nickel up 0.3% on spot demand

Metal for delivery in December gained 0.29%

Nickel prices moved up by 0.30% to Rs 866.60 per kg in futures market today as speculators created fresh positions, supported by a rise in demand from alloy-maker in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in November rose by Rs 2.60, or 0.30% to Rs 866.60 per kg in business turnover of 971 lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in December gained Rs 2.50, or 0.29% to Rs 876.40 per kg in 33 lots.

Market analysts said speculators created fresh positions on the back of firm demand in the spot market mainly influenced nickel futures here.
