Nickel prices rose by 0.06 per cent to Rs 955 per kg in futures trading today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in January rose by 60 paise, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 955 per kg in business turnover of 512 lots.

The February contract traded higher by 40 paise, or 0.03 per cent to Rs 955 per kg in 29 lots.

Market analysts said demand at the spot markets from alloy makers and a firming trend overseas, helped nickel futures to trade higher.
