Nifty ends up 129pts

The Nifty ended (provisional) at 4,528, up 129 points. The BSE Sensex ended (provisional) at 15,247, up 404 points.

The NSE Nifty rallied to touch a high of 4,528, up 119 points. The index is now at 4,520, up 121 points.

Reliance Infrastructure has soared 7.5% to Rs 1,173.

ACC has surged nearly 7% to Rs 810, post 85% jump in quarterly profit.

Maruti has surged 6.5% to Rs 1,289, after it reported 25% rise in net profit for first quarter.

Sterlite has gained nearly 6% to Rs 637.

ITC and Hindalco have advanced 5.5% each to Rs 230 and Rs 90, respectively.

DLF, Tata Motors, Jindal Steel, Tata Steel and GAIL have added nearly 5% each.

However, Bharti Airtel declined 1.5%.

The BSE Sensex is at 15,244, up 201 points.

The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 2,684 stocks, 1,742 have advanced and 839 have declined.
