Potato up 0.8% on pick-up in physical demand

The potato for delivery in July moved up by 0.3%.

Potato futures prices moved up by 0.87% to Rs 905 per quintal today, on increased spot demand against restricted arrivals from producing regions.
    
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, potato for delivery in June rose by Rs 7.80, or 0.87%, to Rs 905 per quintal, with trading volume of two lots.
    
The potato for delivery in July also moved up by Rs 2.90, or 0.34%, to Rs 845.50 per quintal, with a trade volume of 19 lots.
    
Analysts said increased demand in the spot market against tight supplies from producing regions mainly pushed up potato prices at futures trade.
