Pre-Market: Sensex may see a flat opening

The Indiam marketa may see a sedate opening as the global cues are all flat. The Asian markets are trading mixed after sluggish leads from Wall Street and renewed violence in Egypt hindered demand.

Japan's Nikkei Stock Average is trading down 0.2% at 10,433 while the Jakarta Composite  is up 1% at 3,481. Markets in China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam were shut for the Lunar New Year holidays.

In the US markets, The Dow Jones average rose  0.02% at 12,042 and the Nasdaq Composite Index was down  0.06% at 2,749.Earlier on Tuesday the Dow closed above the milestone 12,000 level for the first time since June 2008, and the S&P closed above the 1,300 level for the first time since August 2008.

The stocks to watch for the day are Vodafone, Oracle Financial Services, Persistent Systems, HCC, Jet Airways, ITC and ACC.
