Prestige Estates surges after board announces interim dividend

The board has approved payment of interim dividend at the rate of 12% i.e. (Rs. 1.2 per share) for the financial year 2015-16.

Shares of Prestige Estates Projects were up nearly 10% to Rs 153 on the BSSE after the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on March 19, 2016, has approved the payment of interim dividend at the rate of 12% i.e. (Rs. 1.2 per share) for the financial year 2015-16.

Meanwhile, in a separate release to the BSE, the company informed that it has fixed March 31, 2016 as the record date for the purpose of payment of interim dividend.
 
The stock opened at Rs 144 and touched a high of Rs 154. At 2:10pm, over 1.97 million shares were traded on both the stock exchanges.
