Provisional: Markets gain on high GDP growth forecast
Markets ended higher after GDP growth in Q3 and Q4 of FY14 seen at 5,2%
SI Reporter Mumbai Markets ended higher on Monday led by financials after the Finance Minister P Chidambaram said that the GDP growth in the last two quarters of the current fiscal will be atleast 5.2%. Further, the excise duty cuts for select sectors also boosted sentiment.
The 30-share Sensex ended up 110 points at 20,477 and the 50-share Nifty was up 31 points at 6,079.
