Provisional: Nifty ends 130 pts higher, metals shine

BSE-Metal index was the top gainer today after China's services industries jumped to a six-month high

Markets ended on a positive note this Thursday with 50-share Nifty surging nearly 130 points on back of buying witnessed in metal and mining shares.

BSE-Metal index was the top gainer today after China’s services industries jumped to a six-month high raising hopes that the world’s biggest commodity consumer will sustain a rebound after a two-quarter slowdown.

On a provisional basis, 30-share Sensex surged 381.14 points to end at 19,898.29 and the 50-share Nifty gained x129.65 points at 5,909.70 levels.
