The wholesale pulses market depicted a mixed trend today, as urad and its dal rose on selective buying, while arhar declined on lack of enough support.

Marketmen said selective buying by stockists helped wholesale urad and its dal prices to improve. Meanwhile, the government has hiked the minimum support price of pulses upto Rs 700 per quintal.

In the national capital, urad, urad dal chilka local and best were up by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,300-5,850, Rs 6,300-6,700 and Rs 7,200-7,500 per quintal, respectively. However, arhar lacked necessary buying support and fell Rs 200 to Rs 4,400-4,500 per quintal.
