In a mixed pattern of trading, select pulse prices fell by by Rs 100 per quintal while a few others found some support from retailers and improved in the spot market.
Traders said adequate stocks position, against sluggish demand mainly led to a fall in select wholesale commodity prices.
Meanwhile, the state-run trading company PEC has invited bids for import of 25,000 tonnes of Canadian yellow peas to be delivered by September.
Masoor small and bold declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,150-3,350 and Rs 3,350-3,600, while its dal local and best quality traded lower by the same margin at Rs 3,900-4,000 and Rs 4,200-4,500 per quintal.
Malka local and best also lost Rs 100 each to Rs 4,050- 4,100 and Rs 4,200-4,300 per quintal.
On the other hand, gram, its dal local and best quality were up by Rs 25 each to Rs 2275-2300, Rs 2,525-2,550 and Rs 2,625-2,725 while kabli gram small gained Rs 100 to Rs 3,900-5,100 per quintal.
