Refined soya oil prices traded lower by 0.97% to Rs 727 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced positions, driven by a decline in demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in January traded lower by Rs 7.15, or 0.97%, to Rs 727 per 10 kg in business turnover of 1,12,600 lots.
Likewise, oil for delivery in December shed Rs 6.45, or 0.88%, to Rs 726.10 per 10 kg in 81,250 lots.
Analysts said speculators offloading their positions, driven by a decline in demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position, which mainly kept pressure on refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
