Reliance Infra gains 4.4%; Hindalco down 2.2%

Reliance Infrastructure has surged 4.4% to Rs 1,065. ICICI Bank gained 3.8% to Rs 794.

NTPC has moved up 3.2% at Rs 166. DLF is up 2.9% to Rs 494.

Infosys has inched 2.7% to Rs 1,915. Bharti Airtel has gained 2.6% to Rs 835.

HDFC Bank is up 2.2% to Rs 1,148. Hindustan Unilever and Cipla have added 2% each to Rs 231 and Rs 215, respectively.

Wipro has moved up 1.5% at Rs 485.

ITC, HDFC and Jaiprakash Associates are the other major gainers.

BHEL and Hindalco have plunged 2.2% each to Rs 1,526 and Rs 171, respectively.

Reliance Communications has lost 1.7% to Rs 534. Mahindra & Mahindra has declined 1.3% to Rs 563.

Tata Motors and Grasim are the other losers.

The markets breadth is positive - out of 2,671 stocks traded so far, 1,810 have advanced, 782 have declined and 79 are unchanged.
