Select copra spurts on steady demand, pepper declines

Copra Rajapur and copra edible prices spurted in the spices market here today due to consistent buying from stockists and traders. 

Meanwhile, black pepper declined on subdued domestic as well as overseas demand amid adequate supplies.  

Copra Rajapur Mumbai rose by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 8,500 from the previous closing level of Rs 8,400, while copra edible Mumbai gained Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 8,000 from Monday's closing level of Rs Rs 7,900. 

However, black pepper fell by Rs 6 per kg to Rs 305/325 as compared to Rs 311/331 yesterday. 

Rest all other spices closed stable in the absence of market-moving factors.
