Select pulses decline on sluggish demand

Select pulses turned weak and prices fell up to Rs 200 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today on adequate stocks against sluggish demand at existing high levels. 

Traders said adequate stocks against subdued demand mainly led to fall in select wholesale pulses prices.

In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local declined by Rs 50 and Rs 150 to Rs 4,100-4,600 and Rs 4,900-5,300 per quintal, respectively. Its dal best quality and dhoya lost Rs 200 each to Rs 5,400-5,900 and Rs 5,350-5,450 per quintal, respectively.

Masoor small and bold prices also shed Rs 100 each to Rs 3,150-3,350 and Rs 3,300-3,550 per quintal, respectively and its dal local and best quality fell by Rs 200 and Rs 150 to Rs 3,700-3,800 and Rs 4,000-4,300 per quintal, respectively.
