Sensex at day's low; down 380pts

Sensex has plunged and has touched a new low of 13,581. The index is now down 380points at 13,532.

Reliance Communication and Ranbaxy slumped 8% to Rs 296 and Rs 245, respectively.

NTPC and Tata Motors have dropped over 5% to Rs 201 and Rs 329, respectively.

DLF, ICICI Bank and Bharti Airtel have declined over 4.5% each to Rs 335, Rs 671 and Rs 775, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates, Larsen & Toubro have slipped over 3.5% each to Rs  178 and Rs 1,256, respectively.

ITC ,ONGC, Mahindra & Mahindra , Tata Power  and Tata Steel are the other  major losers so far.

Infosys has added 3% at Rs 1,533 and Wipro is up over 2% at Rs 375.

The market breadth has turned negative, out of 2,783 shares traded, 1,440 have declined and 1,308 have advanced so far on the BSE.
